Microsoft Edge only monitors the passwords you’ve saved in Microsoft Edge.
All your username-passwords combinations are automatically scanned the first time you turn on Password Monitor. After that, each time a username-password pair is saved or auto-filled, it’s checked against a database of known breaches to help keep your credentials secure. If you ever want to run a manual scan, open Settings and more in Microsoft Edge, then select Passwords and autofill. From there, go to Microsoft Password Manager, choose Password security check, and tap Check to start scanning your credentials against known data breaches.
